In the heart of one of the few remaining green lungs of Athens. Between the imposing Panathenaic Stadium and the impressive Temple of Olympian Zeus. We have created a special venues that can accommodate your every event in a unique way.

It is divided into two outdoor and two indoor areas. Each venues is autonomous. With its own entrance but also a different style, thus offering alternatives to each event.

From the open air, the views of the illuminated Acropolis and Ardittos Hill are truly breathtaking. That can be itself the perfect setting for your event. The tall reception hall has many openings. And that gives a comfortable space and plenty of light overlooking the garden and the impressive alley of flowers and plants. The room (indoors) has a capacity of 220 persons for rotation and 400 persons for cocktails.

ETHNIKOS EVENT HALL is located next to the beautiful picturesque stone church of Agia Fotini Ilissos. That gives the opportunity to perform your wedding ceremony and the reception side by side. Avoiding unnecessary travel and planning.

The hall can comfortably seat up to 150 guests, while the outdoor space offers a capacity for up to 500 people.

The History of the Place

Over one hundred and eighty years ago, Klafthmonos Square was not the center of Athens. It may be difficult to imagine, but the area was sparsely populated with scarce houses. In 1833, Stamatis Dekozis Vouros built his residence here, which later became the Athens City Museum when it was connected to the neighboring house of Afthonides. This building complex was where Otto, the first King of Greece, and his young bride, Amalia, settled after their wedding.

In 1836, Queen Amalia organized the garden around the temporary royal residence. Known as “The Old Palace Garden,” it was the first public garden in Athens, featuring four entrances, a fountain, and a goldfish pond. It spanned the area of modern Klafthmonos Square and extended to Kolokotronis Square.

Although the modern garden of the Athens City Museum is only a fraction of the original garden, it remains a peaceful oasis in the heart of Athens. Notably, the palm tree planted by Queen Amalia still grows strong today.

It features a spacious 230 sq.m. indoor area with high ceilings and large openings, along with an impressive 600 sq.m. inner courtyard that enhances the visitor experience. The venue combines handcrafted iron elements, original tools, and vintage antiques to create a distinctive and authentic atmosphere. Located in the heart of Athens, just 300 meters from Kerameikos Metro Station, it offers easy access for all guests.

Ideal Venue for Corporate Events and Special Occasions

Metallourgeio is an ideal venue for corporate events, receptions, parties, presentations, photoshoots, film productions, and exhibitions. It offers full professional infrastructure and modern technical equipment. The indoor area accommodates up to 150 seated or 300 standing guests. The outdoor space hosts up to 350 seated or 1,000 standing guests. You can also combine both areas for a seamless, unified event experience. The venue operates year-round with no time restrictions. It includes theatrical lighting, sound systems, a projector, a stage, air conditioning, and event furniture. It also provides a dedicated catering area and well-equipped restroom facilities.
