Bouboulinas Mansion

<h3>Bouboulinas Mansion</h3>

<p>A Mauritanian architect designed and constructed the <strong>Bouboulinas Mansion</strong> at the end of the 17th century. The building’s floor plan forms the shape of the Greek letter Π, a characteristic closely associated with the status of its owner in Spetsiot architecture. Most Spetsiot nobles of the era chose this architectural form for their residences.The mansion consists of a ground floor and two upper levels. A prominent external stone staircase connects the front courtyard to the first floor, where the museum now operates. This floor includes four large rooms that serve as exhibition spaces, offering visitors a glimpse into the legacy of Laskarina Bouboulina and the era in which she lived.

In 1991, Mr. Philip Demertzis-Bouboulis, a fourth-generation descendant of Laskarina Boumboulina, established the Boumboulina Museum as part of his initiative to preserve the historic family mansion, which at the time faced imminent structural deterioration. It is an essential historical element and a must-visit destination if you plan to organize an event on the island of Spetses.</p>

<h4>The Mansion</h4>

<p>During the approximately 40-minute guided tour, the visitor will hear the remarkable story of the legendary captain, Laskarina Boumboulina. Her journey unfolds from her birth in the Turkish prisons of Istanbul, through her decisive role in the War of Independence in 1821, her contributions and sacrifices for the homeland, to her unexpected and tragic end.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view a rich collection that includes weapons, antique books, porcelain, documents and letters from the Revolution, paintings and ship models, portraits and prints of the heroine, personal belongings, maps, embroidery, Byzantine icons, as well as furniture and objects dating from the 17th to the 20th century. A highlight of the tour is the magnificent Florentine carved ceiling of the grand hall.

On the museum’s exterior, a dedicated space can accommodate up to <strong>180 people for dinner</strong> and <strong>300 for a Concert</strong>, available for events such as <strong>music nights, festivals, lectures</strong>, etc. During the winter months, the museum remains closed due to repairs and maintenance. However, it remains open during the weekend of Shrove Monday and then daily from the 25th of March to the 28th of October, both Greek National Celebrations.</p>

<p>The city of Nafplio itself is a living mosaic of history, where ancient ruins, Byzantine churches, medieval fortresses, and neoclassical mansions blend seamlessly with early 20th-century industrial architecture and modern design. Fougaro provides a dynamic base from which to explore this cultural tapestry.

The center also organizes guided tours to archaeological sites and museums across Argolis.  Whith options to visit local wineries in Nemea and Corinthia, as well as <strong>olive oil and organic product producers</strong>. Guests can enjoy trekking along ancient paths, boat tours, and visits to Byzantine and medieval landmarks. VIP guests can request fully personalized tours tailored to their interests and preferences.</p>

Gazarte

Gazarte living room is a large area of libraries full of books and special publications on architecture, theatre, cinema, poetry, stage design and more. The patrons can sit comfortably on the cosy, warm-coloured couches and enjoy their drinks to the accompaniment of delicious finger food.

The warm, soft lighting of the lampshades and the beautiful classical carpets, combined with the wood that dominates all over the place, offer the sensation of a cosy atmosphere.
Moreover, Gazarte’s renovated bar offers its customers a variety of brand-new cocktails with fresh fruits and exotic spices. It is truly a pleasure to be with your friends in a cool shelter downtown, enjoying refreshing cocktails and delicious finger food.

An essential aspect of that unique <strong>terrace</strong> atmosphere is the careful selection of music played by the following radio producers: Kotseta Yota, Adam Petro and Tsitomenea Saki.

Gazarte also provides one of the most interesting terraces in Athens. At the centre of Gazi, only a breath away from Kerameikos metro station, our green, new terrace dominates among the industrial buildings of Technopolis Park.
Olive trees, pomegranate trees, tangerine trees and flower pots of lavender, mint and basil not only emerge their sweet scent but also offer a fresh cool breeze to our customers during hot summer nights.

On Gazarte’s second floor, one can find a sizeable unified hall of alternative aesthetics, ideal for conferences, company presentations and cultural events. Through its extended partitions of glass that circulate the entire place, the view of the Acropolis, the National Observatory and Lycabettus is more than fluid.

Heavy curtains obfuscate the hall when needed, as on unique video projections during daylight. However, with its walls decorated with visual constructions created especially for Gazarte by the sculptor Costis Papadopoulos, the whole area exudes a unique cultural atmosphere. The wooden floor, the impromptu bar with the vinyl records, the vast sofas, and the smooth, theatrical lighting combined with complete audiovisual coverage have all led to numerous companies’ profile presentations, conferences and workshops as this alternative space are ideal for such events.

Aello S/Y

<h3>Aello S/Y</h3>
The <strong>luxury charter </strong>sailing yacht <strong>Aello </strong>was designed in <strong>1919</strong> and launched in Hamburg in 1921 by <strong>Max Oertz</strong>, probably <strong>the most famous German shipbuilder </strong>of his time.

Oertz built the famous imperial schooners Germany and Meteor IV for German Kaiser Wilhelm II. Meteor IV competed against King George’s V legendary Britannia and was used as a political tool by the Kaiser. Indeed the Kaiser played an important part in creating prestigious yacht clubs and launching international regattas.

<strong>Aello was created as Meteor’s IV sister vessel</strong> and is the <b>world’s only remaining schooner of Max Oertz design</b>. Aello took part in <strong>many classic regattas,</strong> including Monaco, Cannes, Porto Cervo, St. Tropez and won the Antigua Classic Regatta. 2004: Winner of Antigua Classic Regatta 2002: Winner of Antigua Classic Regatta 1997: Transatlantic Race sponsored by the NY Yacht Club and the Royal Yacht Squadron.
