<h3>Events at Amalias 36 Building</h3>
The Amalias 36 building is one of the most beautiful and historically significant structures in Athens, traditionally known as the “Lykiardopoulos Mansion.” It is located on Vasilissis Amalias Avenues 36, across from Zappeion Park and very close to the Columns of Olympian Zeus, just a stone’s throw away from the historic center of Athens and Syntagma Square.

Three floors, namely the Ground Floor, First Floor, and Second Floor, have been meticulously renovated, preserving the building’s unique character, and are available for hosting social and professional events. These spaces offer the ambience and warmth of the old aristocratic Athenian residence. They are grand, high-ceilinged, comfortable, adorned with refined décor, complemented by furniture from the building’s former occupants, and adorned with vintage authentic posters from an extensive collection.

These halls provide the option and flexibility to be configured according to the requirements and needs of each specific event. There are no permanent fixtures that restrict the layout of the space or your imagination.

The ground floor of the Amalias 36 building consists of four rooms, with an internal kitchen-bar area, ideal for hosting various types of events. Additionally, it serves as a fully equipped exhibition space, complete with professional lighting and artwork hanging systems. The interior courtyard of the ground floor combines timeless luxury with modern simplicity.

<strong>First Floor</strong>

The grandeur of the building’s architecture is fully appreciated upon entering the first floor. Its 240m² are divided into a large central hall and five additional rooms that can be isolated and customized according to event needs. The first floor is adorned with antique lighting fixtures, built-in wooden cabinets, intricate interior doors with handcrafted decorative glass, exhibition lighting, artwork hanging systems, and additional auxiliary space.

<strong>Second Floor</strong>

The second floor of the Amalias 36 building can satisfy even the most demanding tastes. It is an open-plan hall of generous capacity, featuring a unique layout that combines spaciousness with the luxury and warmth of a residence. It offers a splendid view of Zappeion Park, the Columns of Olympian Zeus, and the eastern side of the Acropolis. It also includes an additional auxiliary space of 60m², providing the opportunity to host events with a large number of guests.

The capacity of the space is very large. In an event with a seated setup, such as a wedding reception or a corporate event, it can reach up to 1,200 people. While in an event with a standing setup, such as a standing cocktail or a party, it reaches up to 2,000 people.

The History of the Place

Over one hundred and eighty years ago, Klafthmonos Square was not the center of Athens. It may be difficult to imagine, but the area was sparsely populated with scarce houses. In 1833, Stamatis Dekozis Vouros built his residence here, which later became the Athens City Museum when it was connected to the neighboring house of Afthonides. This building complex was where Otto, the first King of Greece, and his young bride, Amalia, settled after their wedding.

In 1836, Queen Amalia organized the garden around the temporary royal residence. Known as “The Old Palace Garden,” it was the first public garden in Athens, featuring four entrances, a fountain, and a goldfish pond. It spanned the area of modern Klafthmonos Square and extended to Kolokotronis Square.

Although the modern garden of the Athens City Museum is only a fraction of the original garden, it remains a peaceful oasis in the heart of Athens. Notably, the palm tree planted by Queen Amalia still grows strong today.

The industrial space of Metallourgeio

Metallourgeio is an impressive stone building on Piraeus Street, characteristic of the industrial Athens of the 1900s. It consists of a spacious interior with high ceilings and large openings and a large internal courtyard that pleasantly surprises the visitor.

Its spaces offer a unique atmosphere to its events, continuing its traditional function as a metalworking workshop. The tools and hand-crafted ironworks are uniquely combined with old objects and antiques. They create a type of aesthetics that portrays an authentic and unpretentious style.

Metallourgio is ideal for corporate events, presentations, exhibitions, children’s parties and photography sessions. It is open all year round. It also has complete technical equipment and the infrastructure for hosting any private party, corporate event.

The indoor space has a capacity of up to 150 people seated or 350 standing. The outdoor space 450 seated or 1,800 standing. The exterior space can function as a continuation of the interior, offering the possibility for single use. Another great asset of Metallourgio is its location. Colonial All-Day Restaurant

It is also provided for creative children’s events in the specially designed space.

Dominated by wood, marble, and earthy colors, Colonial tells the story of a southern “colony”, as its name is translated, focusing on coffee, food, and drink in their highest quality version.
