The Meropio Philanthropic Foundation

The Meropio Philanthropic Foundation was founded in 1914 by Anna Theodoropoulou and a group of renowned Athenian ladies in memory of her little daughter Meropi, who passed away at age 11. Its primary purpose was the education of underprivileged girls. The Meropio Philanthropic Foundation is a unique space that will leave unforgettable impressions in your memory of its historical route and position at Dionysios Areopagitou street. The building consists of offices, a large hall and a garden with the living fragrance of past times. Having hosted the weddings of some of the most distinguished names of Athenian society, the privately owned Greek Orthodox Church of Agia Sophia Acropolis on the pedestrian street of Dionysios Areopagitou, right below the Parthenon, comprises an excellent choice to host your wedding.
